About This Quote

In the story The BFG by Roald Dahl, as told in the book and film, as well as other movies, the BFG (short for Big Friendly Giant) has a great problem with belief. As a giant, he has the power to see everything and he can hear everything. He knows how much fun it is to dream and imagine things and become part of them so he doesn't want to believe in anything unless he can see it with his own two eyes. Eventually, though, he comes to understand that sometimes you just have to believe in something for someone else's sake even if you don't know it or see it for yourself.
